Since yesterday was a Saturday, there isn't much business to report on, but here goes. Tomorrow night is the wedding of David Flair and Ms Hancock. Much speculation to whether the father of the groom Ric Flair will attend. Here i will list a number of reasons to and not to attend:
Reasons TO attend:
He has always wanted success for his son, The wedding is to take place in Charlotte NC, and is the home town of Ric, Either his wife or Arn Anderson will make/persuade Flair to go.
Reasons NOT TO attend:
Alot as happened to Ric over the last few months, and this is all due to one man: Vince Russo. And you know that Russo will be at Nitro. This is not true, but it is my opinion. Ms Hancock's baby isn't David's, but it is infact Ric Flair's and it would be apparent later on that this was the main reason.
Other news, according to Jim Ross (Ross Report) Mr Ass will be fit and ready for action in about 2 weeks. I guess that it is a coincidence that Unforgiven is in exactly two weeks. Stone Cold will be at Unforgiven, as he said that himself. J.R also said that the main event (although it hasn't been announced yet) will be The Rock Vs Chris Benoit Vs The Undertaker Vs Kane and if you look down at my 7th September update, I infact predicted that the main event would infact be that. Other matches set for Unforgiven are Tazz Vs Jerry Lawler, in i think a chain match. The Hardy Boyz will face Edge and Christian in a cage match. We are still awaiting the return of Raven, and will be at Unforgiven or the Raw afterwords. At Fall Brawl, The main event will not be the World Title match. I have never seen this before. The last but one match will be the Title Match, between Kevin Nash against Booker T, with T trying to regain his Title that he lost after Jeff Jarrett helped Nash win after he was the referee.
The Main event will be between Scott Steiner and Bill Goldberg. This will be a very hard match for WCW to put over, because it is once again the Immovable Object (Scott Steiner) against the Irresistable Force (Goldberg). If this match can work, i have no doubt that this will be one of the best matches in any company, from any generation and of any gender. There have been some classics before with matches including Bret Hart against Shawn Michaels and Jeff Jarrett against Chris Benoit,. but this may eclipse all of them. I have made a list of Wrestlers who havent been seen for ages. Please Email me here and tell me where they are!
The Total Package, .... Curt Hennig, ..... Eric Bischoff, .... DDP, and .... Paul Bearer.
Till tomorrow, this has been Adam's wrestling column...

Wow. That is all i can say. that was one of the best segmants i have seen anywhere on WCW in a long time. Where Bret Hart came out and called Goldberg to the ring, and almost had Goldberg reduced to tears. It is a shame that Bret came back as a heel when i believe he works his best matches as a babyface. It could have began a really good fued between Bret and maybe Kevin Nash, Scott Steiner or even Jeff Jarrett. Looking forward, i can see that Kevin Nash is going to retain the World Title against Booker T. I dont know why, but i think that Bret Hart will turn on Steiner and join Goldberg, and throw a major twist in the works.
I dont know why Bret Hart can work for a guy like Vince Russo. This is supposedly the guy that was behinf the incident in Montreal in 97, however, i believe that the only person behind that was the one and only Vince McMahon and only on his own. I liked the segmant with Mike Awesome and Pamela Paulshock ut The Chosen One interupted it. I hope WCW continues this segmant as it was very interesting. The list of guests could be great, including some babes such as Torrie WIlson and Major Gunns. I liked Awesomes awesome one liners. I mean, what gets better than "If i said you had a great body, would you hold it against me?" i mean that is a classic!
I was thinking, did we ever find out who was driving the hummer in WCW? i dont recall anybody bringing up the situation after Rick Steiner and Stings fued. I think that the driver was either Sid Vicious or probably even HollyWood Hogan. At that time, Hogan had just had a rivalry with big Nash, and was looking for revenge and maybe at the farthest point, could have been Sting or Bret Hart,

Well, The Stone Cold situation really sucked. I was expecting maybe him to come in in the main event and maybe stun Kane, to set up a match between himself and the Big Red Machine at the next PPV, Unforgiven. On a night where The Rock was in the main event defending the World Title against both of the Tag Team Champions, Edge and Christian. After Kane replaced Edge as his partner, Christian stopped Kane from pinning The Rock, i thought this was a pretty dumb move, because if Kane had pinned him for the team of Kane and Christian, they would have both been world champion, and would have had a match to decide who would be the real champion. It was great to see Paul Ornorff back last week, and he was on top form taking out all The Natural Born Thrillers.
The Filthy Animals have showed real improvement recently since their face turn and their affiliation with Booker T. After a load of recent wins, they have managed to keep on to the tag titles, but i am wondering how long they will before Kronic come back into the title picture. On Nitro just gone, Goldberg missed ANOTHER chance to get his hands on Russo, while Sting was in a poor match himself. This was a very poor showing by Team WCW, and Team Russo excelled. Still no news on the Eric Bischoff situation, and i thnk the situation is that Russo will appear on television, where Bischoff is the behind the scenes guy who attends the board room meetings. It is a real shame because i would rather see Bischoff vs Flair rather than Goldberg Vs Russo. And another thing... whats with the mystery opponent for Jeff Jarrett last week on Thunder??? Oooh noooo... Kwee Wee.... look scared! All results to be put up between now and saturday.
This weeks Smackdown, Stone Cold said that he would interigate every one until someone came forward and admitted it. He said that at Unforgiven, he is going to go through the whole locker room until he found the person. Looking forward to this monday night on Nitro, it is the wedding of David Flair and Ms Hancock. It is expected that Ric Flair will attend, and i am sure that this angle would tie in with Vince Russo in some way or another. Going back to Smackdown, it showed MamaCita and Eddy Guerrero in a love me - hate me relationship, at one point, Guerrero even reduced the ninth wonder of the world to tears, which is the first time that has happened to Chyna... This is a way of creating a rivalry between HHH and Eddy which should turn Triple H face, and be joined by Chyna.

Oh great! It turned out that it was actually Test who called the police on HHH. I can't say i am surprised however, this was one if 1999's biggest angles, and the WWF would have been stupid not to continue this. Also, the love triangle between HHH, Eddy Guerrero and Chyna continued, as Chyna lost the IC Title to Eddy Guerrero after Angle hit her with the belt, and Eddy "tended to her" The ref counted this as a cover and as he won the title, Chyna and Eddy hugged each other, and Eddy smirked (i think he wanted the title all along. I think that in the end, HHH will get back together on screen with Chyna and maybe Stephanie going with either Kurt Angle or Guerrero.
This week's Nitro was a very good one with the Triple Cage match for the WCW World Title. The traditional War Games are usually held at Fall Brawl, but this week was held on Monday Night, with Team Russo (Vince Russo, Kevin Nash, Scott Steiner and Jeff Jarrett) against Team WCW (The Cat, Bill Goldberg, Booker T and Sting) Miike Awesome i think was origonally schedueled to be in this match, but The Cat wanted to get his hands on Russo. I thought it was a really good match, and the bit at the end where Bret Hart nailed Goldberg with the door and Nash took the belt and left, was really good. This is what WCW needs right now, another WCW Vs nWo type feud, hopefully making Bret Hart more involved. Nitro recently did a 4.4 in the ratings, which is the highest Bischoff and Russo have done. Talking about Bischoff, where is he? When he came back and formed the New Blood, he was here every week, and then he just faded out. I like Bischoff, he makes entertaining TV. WCW needs to make this Goldberg and Bret situation a little more personal, perhaps in a few one on one situations, instead of surrounding them with other people.
Stone Cold Steve Austin will be back on Smackdown tonight, and he is expected to name who ran him over last year at the Survivor Series. I think that he will name the person as one of the following: Vince, Shane, Steph (although they were all shown as being there and not in the car) and i think that he may debut Raven or maybe B A Billy Gunn. I will have a full report of what happened tonight, and i will have a write up of WCW Thunder.
I can also see Dean Malenko coming up the ranks abit now with his new affiliation with Crash and his new 'Face turn. Maybe a title run in either the Light-Heavyweight Title or the Intercontinental Title. Benoit will have a WWF Title run soon and compete with The Undertaker and The Rock. I think that at Unforgiven, the main event not announced yet, that it will be a four way dance for the title, Undertaker Vs The Rock Vs Kane Vs (Chris Benoit or Chris Jericho) I like these kind of matches, but not in World Title matches, because it never decides a clear winner. I like 4 corner matches for the light heavyweight title.
The Total Package has been off WCW screens for quite a while now, and being one of WCW's most premiere athletes, its not like him to miss these events. Ric Flair will be back at Nitro next week (hurrah) and will have something to do with either David Flairs marriage and/or Russo's plans. Scott Stiener is going mad now, and i think Goldberg has knocked him over the edge... Did you see him at last weeks Thunder??? Also, it was good to see Mr Wonderful back after his Arm Wreslting match with 'Perfectshawn' Stasiak, even tho he never finished it, he did take out all the Natural Born Thrillers, with a chair of course!
In the future, i think the following people will turn heel: Mike Awesome, Eddy Guerrero and even Chris Jericho. As for Face turns, try these: Triple H, maybe Edge OR Christian and maybe even Jeff Jarrett. This will give Jarrett and Jericho good angles and new title runs. Mike Awesome may turn because he was forced out of the title match on nitro by the Cat, and blames him for not winning the World Title.
Well thats it for today, come back tomorrow for my latest news! thanx...
